The First Supporting Piece

For the first supporting piece, we thought that we should produce a simplistic design with a bottle of Reggae Reggae Sauce. On the bottle it is split into three sections, red, green and yellow. We thought we would edit these sections allowing us to put the name of the documentary on the top section, a brief description on the middle section and a date, time and channel on the bottom section of the bottle.
I started by taking a picture of the bottle with a white background and then myself and Lauren started to edit the photo using Photoshop. Below are a few screen shots of our first attempt at creating the first supporting piece. If you cannot see the images clearly then please click on the image to enlarge.

Researching Billboards

Here is a simple poster which is still effective that we came accoss whilst we were researching billboards:

Here are some of the points we liked about this billboard:
  • Easy and clear to read and understand
  • Play on words used
  • very simple design, with white background
  • Font colour contrasts with the crisp white background

Supporting Pieces

We thought that it would be best to make a start on our supporting pieces and therefore started researching and planning various posters and billboards for our advertising campaign. We wanted something simple yet effective for one of the billboards.

Documentary Feedback

The overall feedback recieved about our documentary was very positive. Although the majority of the documentary is good, Lauren and myself are not happy about the voiceovers used at the beginning and the end of the documentary as we thought they were too quiet. Therefore we have decided to re-do the two voiceovers to make sure we are thoroughly content with the quality of our work.

Final Documentary

Our final documentary piece, including all of our edited sequences is shown below.
